Danke für Deine Teilnahme beim Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth 2015 in Österreich. Du hast damit einen wertvollen Beitrag geleistet, Bildmaterial für die Wikipedia und für eine Weiternutzung im Sinne freien Wissens bereitzustellen. Die Jury sichtet nun in einem mehrstufigen Verfahren die Einreichungen. Die Gewinner geben wir am 30. September 2015 unter anderem auf wikilovesearth.at bekannt. Kannst du bei den deutschen Campaigns zB. bei Campaign:wle-de-st "title": "Wiki Loves Earth in Germany: Saxony-Anhalt", einfügen? Also ohne das Jahr, aber mit dem jeweiligen engl. Am Sonntag, den 1. Mai 2016 startete zum dritten Mal der Fotowettbewerb Wiki Loves Earth in Österreich.
Wir laden dich herzlich ein, auch dieses Jahr wieder mit Fotos von Naturdenkmälern und weiteren unter Naturschutz stehenden Objekten aus Österreich teilzunehmen. Der Zeitraum, in dem die Bilder auf Wikimedia Commons hochgeladen werden sollen, läuft bis 31. Mai 2016.

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2015 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the tenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2015) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. Gamsberg[edit]

You tagged File:Blick von der Penkenbahn (1800 - 630 m) in Richtung Tux - panoramio.jpg as Gamsberg. Is there a Gamsberg in Europe also? That category is used mostly for the Gamsberg in Namibia. We may have to make a distinction. JMK (talk) 15:52, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Media from WikiDaheim 2017 in Austria needing check[edit]

Hallo Braveheart, danke, dreimal danke dafür, aber lt Katbeschreibung arbeitest du gegen mich. Nach Entfernen der Kat scheinen die Dateien ja immer noch unter https://petscan.wmflabs.org/?psid=1213325 auf. Mir wär's lieber, wenn die irgendwie geprüften Bilder in den verschiedenen check-done-Kategorien landen würden (in diesem Fall: Category:Media from WikiDaheim in Austria check done). Damit erwischen wir auch die, die sich gar nicht für die Überprüfung angemeldet haben, weil sie auf ganz anderen Wegen hochgeladen worden sind. lg --Herzi Pinki (talk) 22:40, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

FF und Fire station[edit]

Hallo Braveheart, das ist ein Unterschied, den ich auch mit Herzipinki besprochen habe und ich mich um die Feuerwehren kümmere - Fire station istr das Haus und ff ist die Organisation -und ein Auto hat in der Fire staion nix zu suchen, dafür aber der Florian am Haus -- bitte bring nicht wieder alles durcheinander - danke K@rl (talk) 07:11, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Karl Gruber: Hi Karl! Das System ist mir momentan etwas unverständlich - category:Fire stations in Sitzendorf an der Schmida hat nun beide Bilder doppelt (unter verschiedenen Namen?). Es wäre hilfreich, wenn das für die Kategorisierung leicht nachvollziehbar wäre. D.h. die "Fire brigades" umfassen die Personen plus das Haus, die "Fire stations" nur das Gebäude? Das ist auch nicht korrekt. Ich habe dazu auch schon Manfred angesprochen, der das ja im Abstand mehrerer Stunden zweimal hochgeladen hat ;-) wodurch das passiert weiß ich nicht, er müsste dazu ja die warnung krigen. - Zum zweiten Fire brigades umfassen Teile der Organisation also Haus, Personen, Fahrzeuge, Einsätze, etc. während fire station nur rein das Haus ist. Dazu kommt, dass ja zahlreiche Gemeinden mehrere Feuerwehrhäuser haben, die alle in der Kategorie Fire stations (der Gemeinde) sind, während die Feuerwehren dann in fire brigades der Gemeinde und im Ort (village) sind.

Hallo Braveheart!

Vielen Dank für Deine Teilnahme am Wettbewerb zu WikiDaheim! Von Ende Juli bis Anfang Oktober wurden so insgesamt mehr als 7.000 Bilder hochgeladen und viele Ort in Österreich in der Wikipedia und anderen Projekten mit neuen Bildern versehen, was nur dank der vielen Beiträge wie Deinem möglich war.

Die 561 besten Bilder wurden in den letzten Wochen von einer Vorjury ausgesucht, die Du dir hier anschauen kannst - vielleicht sind auch Bilder von Dir dabei! :-) Eine Jury wird nun bis Mitte November die zehn besten Bilder aussuchen, die Preisträger werden danach von uns verständigt.

Nochmals vielen Dank für Deine Beiträge. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du auch in Zukunft die Wikimedia-Projekte bebilderst! Im 2. Deine unfreundliche Anschuldigung[[1]] geht völlig daneben. Werke von Max Spielmann sind noch bis Ende 2054 geschützt. D.h., dieses Foto ist nur deshalb zulässig, weil FoP-Austria hier greift. Genau das signalisiert der Baustein und soll u.a. unnötige Löschanträge von Dritten vermeiden, aber auch Nachnutzer anderer Jurisdiktionen darauf hinweisen, dass sie die Rechtslage in ihren Land prüfen müssen. --Túrelio (talk) 20:22, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WLM in Austria[edit]

Hi Braveheart, I noticed that the upload campaign for Austria is not according to the standards of the Wiki Loves Monuments photo contest, but is about WikiDaheim. (It is also not preferred to use WLM infrastructure for other contests.) This means that in the current situation, there is no Wiki Loves Monuments participation as the special upload wizard is not having the required infrastructure we need for WLM. Beppo pointed me to you to ask. I think we need to go back to the 2016 version, so that it works again and adds again the WLM templates as before. Romaine (talk) 12:36, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Romaine: What is WLM infrastructure? In that special case. What is the required infrastructure? What is the problem? We have various campaigns, but regarding WLM you could only mean campaign:wlm-at. The only point I could imagine is that we additionally allow cc-zero. We use different templates, but in the end the same categories (at least that is what is intended) best --Herzi Pinki (talk) 09:50, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(after bwc) Hi Braveheart, I might have missed it last year, also as the relationship between WLM and WikiDaheim might have not been that clear to me. The image category of WikiDaheim is added to the WLM category, but that looks weird and it does not clarify the relationship between WLM and WikiDaheim. With Wiki Loves Monuments in every participating country, all files uploaded as part of the photo contest get the WLM template and are categorised in both the national WLM category and the international WLM category. If I look at for example this image: File:Alte & neue Pfarrkirche Admont.jpg, nothing indicates that it has been uploaded as part of Wiki Loves Monuments (no template saying so) nor any categories (normally added by the WLM template). Another thing is the infrastructure. The infrastructure of WLM is vulnerable (as this is how the software is) and for that reason I follow closely all the relevant pages. Any deviation from the basic setup is a risk, as we have learned over the years, as that enlarges the amount of places where it can go wrong. In every upload campaign WLM is running is used to define the start and end time, an highly crucial element. For some reason in the Austrian upload campaign WikiDaheim is running is used, as well as Tdd-at is running. This last template is still set for 2017! Another issue is that in all upload campaigns of WLM the infrastructure is at least available in both the local language(s) as English, for some reason not for WikiDaheim. And these issues I just found at first sight, not even have dugged through the whole setup of WikiDaheim. For the participant in WLM/WikiDaheim it might look the same, but learned from eight years running WLM I have concerns. Romaine (talk) 09:57, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for elaborating on the points you're concerned about - the problem is that WikiDaheim has a longer running time than WLM, i.e. WLM is only part of the whole contest and handing over the start and end date to a page we can't change ourselves makes the whole thing less manageable for us (therefore the separate template). Changing back to 2016 isn't an alternative, because WLM in Austria isn't a separate entity anymore. Are there any changes we can make to the current setup to make life easier for the international team? Maybe User:Jean-Frédéric or User:Effeietsanders have an opinion on this too. :-)

We can easily do two things:
Both things can be done by template changes and thus also for already existing images. Will this help you?
Regarding the time span of the competition, we have a different interval and last year we had multiple parallel competitions with overlapping but non-identical intervals. See File:WLoves_WMAT_2017_Wettbewerb.svg as an overview of last year's parts of WikiDaheim. So I decided to branch from your central WLM is running-template, as it did not well adopt for multiple parallel contests with different start and end dates, where each image can be part of more than one contest depending on upload date and topic of the image.
In reality we do not have WLM in Austria any more (as a local competition, with jury and prizes), but we deliver the top ranked images from the WikiDaheim competition that show Cultural heritage monuments to the international jury.
May I add some general personal remark: we are stuck in pleasing others. We please our partner BDA by doing a dummy contest, we please the same partner by integrating with their Tag des Denkmals, we please WMAT by collecting as many images as possible (their funding seems to depend on it), we please WLM international by delivering some images, we please individual stakeholders inventing new contest and not caring about, we try to please image uploaders to make it easier for them, we please maybe many more I even do not know about, and if there is something left of empathy in the end we try to please the people doing the final backoffice processing, checking scope, syntax, object identification, categorizing, etc. In the end the number of useful images harvested by WLM is decreasing year by year, we have more and more images of the major POIs, but the WLM competition does not help to fill the gaps. best --Herzi Pinki (talk) 11:12, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ich habe gesehen dass du die Category Monuments and memorials in Styria für die 3 Bilder Fünfeckiger Stein hinzugefügt hast.

Meiner Meinung nach ist der Fünfeckikge Stein in Niederösterreich.

Da ich die Motivation für die Änderung nicht genau weiß und ich auch nicht so viel in wikipedia mache, habe ich mir gedacht ich informiere dich 'mal, bevor ich beinhart einfach die Category von Monuments and memorials in Styria auf Monuments and memorials in Lower Austria ändere.

Important message for file movers[edit]

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
  • To perform file name swaps.
  • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

Kategorie-Entfernung[edit]

Hallo Braveheart, du hast hier die Kategorie "Nockberge" entfernt, obwohl die Hütte sich sehr wohl in den Nockbergen befindet. Zumindest laut österr. Alpenverein, siehe: [2].   • Antrag bei {{Wikidata Infobox}}

  • danach löschen des Datums aus den Commonscategorien.

@Karl Gruber: Momentan gibts eine Rangfolge auf der Website, z.B. Denkmalschutz sticht Gemeingüter aus, Natur sticht Bilderwünsche aus (Naturschutz basiert immer auf WP-Listen momentan), Gemeingüter sticht Wikidata aus. Das Problem am "Thema" Burgenland ist, ist, dass es kein Thema ist, sondern eine geographische Abgrenzung, mit potentiell allen anderen Themen kombinierbar. Sollte es tatsächlich zwei Themengebiete betreffen, brauchts immer zwei eingebundene Vorlagen - oder man fügt die entsprechende WikiDaheim-Subkategorie ein. Wiki Loves Monuments 2021[edit]

Quest’anno partecipi al concorso Wiki Loves Monuments?

Da domani sarà possibile caricare di nuovo le foto, fino al 30 settembre!

Come ogni anno, e questo è il decimo anniversario, torna Wiki Loves Monuments, il concorso fotografico più grande al mondo che negli anni ha coinvolto quasi 50 nazioni e più di 15.000 persone e hanno prodotto un database di oltre 360.000 immagini di monumenti, patrimonio culturale dell’umanità intera a disposizione di tutti su Wikimedia Commons.

Con la tua partecipazione hai sostenuto lo sviluppo turistico del nostro Paese perché rende disponibili a tutti le sue bellezze. L’obiettivo è la valorizzazione dell’immenso patrimonio culturale italiano sul web. Le fotografie dei monumenti vengono condivise su Wikimedia Commons, il grande database di immagini di Wikipedia, con licenza libera CC-BY-SA. Wiki Loves Monuments contribuisce infatti a diffondere la filosofia di Wikimedia Italia e di tutti i progetti wiki, che si basano sulla libera condivisione della cultura.

L’Italia nelle sue prime 9 edizioni (dal 2012 al 2020) conta 145.000 immagini 15.000 monumenti, 2.000 fotografi, 2.000 enti. Uno dei 2.000 fotografi sei tu e quindi anche quest’anno non puoi mancare, partecipa!!!

Fragen von einem kompletten Neuling[edit]

Hallo Braveheart, danke für die Ergänzungen bei meinen bisher fünf hochgeladenen Fotos.

Ich würde gerne noch weitere Fotos hochladen, bin mir aber noch nicht sicher, ob alles so in Ordnung ist, wie ich es bis jetzt gemacht habe.

  • ) Zuordnung zu den entsprechenden Kategorien: gibt es eine Liste mit vorhandenen Kategorien? Schreibt man sie exakt ab oder gibt es Vorlagen oder wie immer man das nennt?
  • ) wie stelle ich fest, ob sie für den Wettbewerb markiert sind. Beim Hochladen der fünf Fotos in WikiDaheim erfolgte nur einmal die Abfrage, ob das Foto teilnehmen soll.

@Heimfoto: Hallo! Die Kategorie-Zuordnung hat schon so gepasst :-) Es braucht etwas Erfahrung, um die jeweiligen zusätzlichen Kategorien zu kennen, und sie sind leider nur auf Englisch verfügbar. Eine Vorlage gibt es nicht, aber du kannst in deinen Einstellungen unter "Helferlein/Kategoriehelferlein" HotCat aktivieren, mit dem du direkt auf der Seite Kategorien hinzufügen kannst. Dort gibts dann auch Eingabehilfen, z.B. wenn du "Aerial photographs of" eingibst, wird dir eine Liste aller Gebiete angezeigt, für die diese Kategorie existiert.
Alle Bilder nehmen generell im Wettbewerb teil, es sei denn sie sind in der Kategorie Category:Media from WikiDaheim 2021 in Austria not for prejury enthalten. Deine bisherigen Bilder waren schon sehr interessant! :-) LG, Braveheart (talk) 15:14, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Gemeindeamt Seeham[edit]

Hallo Braveheart, die von einem Benutzer angelegte Kategorie zum Gemeindeamt in Seeham hat dasselbe Objekt zum Inhalt wie das denkmalgeshcützte Objekt Category:Schmiedbauerngut Seeham. Da ich mich mit wikidata nicht auskenne, weiß ich nicht, wie man das zusammenführen sollte. Kannst du das machen oder in die Wege leiten? Danke. lg --Eweht (talk) 23:36, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
